Course Descriptons
Introduction to Kiln Formed Glass [$150, Glass Included]
You will learn the ''Art of Kiln Formed Glass'' as well as the basic tools needed. You will learn how to prepare glass for the kiln, as well as what happens to glass as it is heated. You will take home a magnet, pendant, nightlight and a photo frame, all using the tack fusing method.
Full Fusing and Slumping [$150, Glass Included]
You will learn the process of designing, choosing colors, and the process of full fusing and slumping of glass. You will take home a set of coasters and a 7-or 8” bowl and a full fused photo frame.
Introduction to Jewelry [$150, Glass Included]
This is a four session class [2 hours each]. You will learn to make Murrini rods and Cabochon blanks, design and construct earrings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets and pins. You will take home two pairs of earrings, two cabochon pendants, two bracelets, and two pins. You will have extra pieces of unfinished jewelry to make jewelry on your own.
Woven Bowl [$75, Glass Included]
You will learn how to cut strips of glass using the Morton system and assemble your bowl. Your friends will be amazed at your kiln forming abilities. Glass included.
Dimensional Flowers – [$100, Glass Included]
You will learn how to adapt a pattern to make flowers have depth and dimension. You will take home a 5 x 7 project. Several different patterns will be available.
Design Your Own Dish[$90, Glass Included]
Create your own dish, using a variety of designed glass. Makes a great “one of a kind” gift ! Bonus! Make a holiday ornament FREE!

Advanced Dichro Jewelry -- $180
(glass included)
Learn to make beautiful Dichroic jewelry. Learn the do’s and don’ts of working with dichroic glass and a variety of construction methods of jewelry making.
Tint Tone Plate -- $75
(glass included)
Learn to work with Bullseye Tint glass in combination with clear Tekta or White to create a monochromatic palette.
Inline Plate -- $100
(glass included)
Learn to prepare stringer and create a design for a stringer plate.
Introduction to Precious Metal Clay [$165, Toolkit and 28 grams of PMC+ Included]
Participants will receive information about the different types of PMC Clay (Fine Silver) and get a review of various tools and their purpose. Participants will learn to make:

Pendant by applying texture, joining pieces of PMC together, adding a bail (2 hours)

Earrings by cutting the shape and carving a design out of dry clay (1 hour)
-
Ring Band by applying texture and joining the ends around a mandrel (1.5 hours)
-
Bead by shaping it and applying texture (.5 hours)
Each piece will be fired in a kiln until the PMC clay becomes sintered metal (.999 silver) Then the participants will finish the items by brushing with a brass brush, tumbling, and finally apply various patinas to highlight their designs. There will be a short break for lunch or bring a sack lunch or snacks if you want to work straight through the day.
Intermediate Precious Metal Clay - $120
(25 grams of PMC3, fine silver wire & dichroic cabochon included)
Supplies to bring: PMC Toolkit, magnifiers, task lamp, writing material. Optional: favorite textures.
Your dichroic glass cabochon deserves a lovely hand-made fine silver setting. This class offers a good foundation in how to set and fire glass in metal clay. Participants will make a hollow object of their choice - sphere, vase, or funnel and learn how to do stone setting in a ring or pendant using PMC materials.
Payment must be received a week in advance
